Malaysia

4th May - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

We arrived at Port Klang to another rather warm day.
The walk off the ship was across a long long bridge.

There was a naval vessel tied up next to us - with a guard on duty with a big gun!

KL was a 45 minute drive from the port and was fun. The cars are really good and the roads are excellent. Although the roads do have white lines painted on them, they are more of a guideline than a rule - same with the colour of the traffic lights. Red means stop if it suits you. Sitting in the back I was slamming on the brakes!

If the vehicle in front was not going fast enough the driver would roar up behind them at over 100ks to about 500mm behind them until they changed lanes.
We didn't really scream!!!!!!

The Petronas Towers were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004 and still remain the tallest twin towers.
And they are really pretty and shiny!
The sky bridge is 170 meters above the ground - being the highest of its kind.
Most impressive.

From the top of the tower nearby.

We got caught in a massive traffic jam where we didn't move for over 15 minutes. People were getting out of their cars and wandering off for a chat.

So many stunning building.

We went here for lunch. A place where many locals eat.

My lunch.  $2.20AU. Excellent.

This was a fruit stall.  There was one fruit that I had heard of!

The police uniform was pretty cute.

And then off to Thailand.

It was a bit windy out there.

Caroline was a bit excited to get a towel animal!
